| Feel the Punk Interview Posted: June 24, 2004 Band name: Industry What in your mind constitutes a good show? Jason Tanzer (Singer/Guitarist): When the band is so removed from the pressures of life that we seem magical Adam Taylor (Bassist): the gear works, the vocals are tight, the playing is solid, and the sound is on the money and just knowing that we are connecting with each other. Thats when a great show happens. What are your future goals as a band? AT: To be able to grow as writers and explore whatever we feel JT: To become just popular enough to be paid to perform this music. What separates your band from the rest? JT: The musicians in the band, I hope...........ha-ha How did you come up with your band name? JT: We wanted to have a band name that bled the construction and building of things. AT: what he said Who are your major influences? AT: The Who, Zeppelin, Weather Report, early punk and any old nasty 70's ghetto funk. JT: The Police - Tool - Nirvana - The Beatles Pink Floyd NIN Seal - Bjork.........any artist that is undoubtedly themselves. What genre of music would you consider your band as? JT: Metropolitan rock How did your band form and what are your music backgrounds? JT: I always wanted to get the best players I knew. My background as a Singer and Guitar player is Fusion/Art/Melodic/Rock AT: I was always a bassist and singer. I was heavily influenced by jazz and fusion, as well as old school punk and funk, heavy rock and classic rock, and that geeky old new wave stuff.
