| With the desire to create a new movement in modern music,
Industry formed in April of 1997. Their sound has developed over the
years and integrates aspects of modern alternative, nu-metal electronic, and
pop emotional. The band has coined the term “Metropolitan Rock” to describe
their style. Industry has created a sound that is not only straight-forward
and powerful, but unique and undeniable. Incorporating strong melody and
intelligent lyrics, it is clear Industry is a band with a message and a
vision. Tanzer’s brother gave him his first guitar at the age of 15 along with recordings of Black Sabbath, Randy Rhoades, Return to Forever, and Mahavishnu Orchestra. It was at this point his life changed. By the time he reached High school, Tanzer was taking his guitar to school everyday and playing between classes as a means of satisfying his overwhelming interest in music. Feeling his way through melody, he began to write anything that came to mind. Captivated by the vocals of Sting, Trent Reznor, Seal, Maynard James Keenan, among many, an artist was emerging. With unyielding drive and intensity Tanzer honed his craft. Adam Taylor can best be described as a musician soldier. Adam maintains a never-say-die attitude and tireless enthusiasm. Searching for a musical outlet since early childhood, the die was cast when he heard a recording of the late John Entwistle. Take powerful and aggressive bass, accent it with the finesse and flavor of 70's funk and jazz, throw in the influence of old school punk, Bjork, Earth Wind and Fire, Seal, Public Enemy, Miles Davis...and you get the sound of Adam Taylor.
